Sunningdale has been involved with the International Audubon Society for several years. We have undertaking their comprehensive program to become a fully certified Cooperative Sanctuary for wildlife, which is a six-step program that includes initiatives in each of these areas:
Environmental Planning
Wildlife and Habitat Management
Chemical Use Reduction and Safety
Water Conservation
Outreach and Education
Water Quality Management
As of the fall of 2005, we are proud to say that we have completed all six steps involved in the program and have been accepted as a fully Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
Each of the six steps in the program had it's own series of accreditations and certificates, which can be viewed individually:
