The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program For Golf Courses (ACSP)

Sunningdale has been involved with the International Audubon Society for several years.  We have undertaken their comprehensive program to become a fully certified Cooperative Sanctuary for wildlife, which is a six-step program that includes initiatives in each of these areas:

  1. Environmental Planning

  2. Wildlife and Habitat Management

  3. Chemical Use Reduction and Safety

  4. Water Conservation

  5. Outreach and Education

  6. Water Quality Management

We are proud to say that, in 2005, we completed all six steps involved in the program and were accepted as a fully Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary (the 28th course in Ontario and the 54th in Canada).  As of 2011, there are now 48 courses certified in Ontario and 89 across Canada.
