The next three holes are the meat of the course, often called Larry,
Curly, and Moe for the crazy way they can mess up a good golf game.
The twelfth hole is a straight-away par five that
may seem short but plays longer than it appears. It
starts out over a ravine, with a pond to the left of
the playing area, just to psych you out. If you hit the pond,
you deserve to be in it.
The landing area for your drive is up hill,
shortening the roll that your drive will take. Some long hitters can get it to the crest and rolling down the other
side, which is a huge advantage. The real key, though, is to keep your tee shot in the fairway. The hole is tree lined for its entire length. Once again, youre
looking at a two-tiered green thats sloped from back to front.
