Every shot is demanding on this hole, requiring both length and
accuracy. If you’re to left on the drive, you
will probably find yourself punching out from under trees. If
you're right, you will either catch the bunker at the top of the
ravine or, if you clear it, the severe left-to-right slope of the
fairway will almost always push you farther right than you'd care to
be. If
you’re straight on your drive, you will probably find yourself hitting your
second from a downhill lie.
The approach shot on this hole is one of the prettiest
of the course, but its no picnic. The green is guarded
by a pond on the right. To land safely on the green,
your second shot must be all carry. Dont try to run it up. The only bail out point is short and left of the green.
The green is deep, and not overly tough to putt. The
challenge is getting on.
