After the last hole, you get a break on number eight, a short par
five. The fairway is tree-lined on both sides and fairly narrow, but
because distance is not a factor, you can avoid the trees on the
right and play it safe with a fairway wood off the tee, followed by
a long iron. Watch out, however, for the fairway bunker on the
right hand side, which many golfers fail to think is in play, but
often ends up catching them.
The green is well protected by a bunker that guard
its front, giving pause to long hitters who try to reach the green
in two. The key to this hole is accuracy.
