They say that golf is 90 percent mental, and this hole is a good illustration.  There should be no problem on this short, flat, pretty par three, but the pond to the right of the green (with the alligator) unnerves people.

Water is a lot more intimidating than sand, and it’s not just the gamble of losing a $5 ball.  At least with sand you have the psychological satisfaction of getting to hit it again. 

This is a hole where you should be on the green.  But if you’re not, you’re heavily penalized.
