The eighteenth is a great par five risk-reward hole. Make sure
you favour the right hand side on your drive, away from
a huge tree whose branches extend over a quarter of the fairway.
The longer hitters will be tempted to go for the green
on their second shot, over a large pond that spans the entire front
of the green. If you lay up, you want to be on the left hand side
of the fairway, where you have less pond to play over on your third.
Coming up to hit your second and third shots, the
Medway Valley ravine forms a lovely backdrop for the trees,
wildflowers, pond, and green. Its truly a beautiful finishing
hole.
