Hole number six is a confidence builder. It’s a
deceptively tough short par four, with
what seems like lots of fairway to land in. The approach is a short-mid iron to a
green that is only guarded by two bunkers but slopes away from the
fairway and can be a challenge to hold.
The same creek winds across the fairway, but it’s
close enough to the tee that it shouldn’t psych you out. This
is a hole that gives you a break, and an opportunity to gain back a
stroke, but its course handicap (1) shows that people seldom do.
