Social Activities and Golf Leagues

Developing lasting friendships at Sunningdale is as easy as taking part in any of the many special activities designed to have fun and provide opportunities for members to enjoy the Sunningdale experience together.

There are seasonal themed dinners with dancing and socializing throughout the year.  The many Christmas parties for the member's children and grandchildren are a big Sunningdale tradition.

We also have active social clubs involved in Duplicate Bridge and bowling that stay involved throughout the winter months.  New players are always welcomed.

A variety of Men’s and Ladies golf tournaments are planned each season, culminating in separate club championships for men, ladies, senior men, senior ladies and junior golfers.

Spearheaded by club members, these events are fun and often tied into casual meals afterward that foster friendly socializing.

Every week during the season, there are many leagues that let men and ladies of varying skill level compete for fun and prizes.  We also have an active "ladder" for Scotch 2-ball (both men and mixed) that runs throughout the season, as well as several special golfing events, such as the "Member-Member" tournament, a "Member-Guest" day, a special season-ending "Pumpkin Open" tournament with hot food and cider throughout the course, and many more.

Mixed golfing events for couples are always popular and tend to take a on a lively life of their own, with fun golf, and themed events and parties.

Monthly newsletters and the private members area of the website keep members in touch with upcoming events.
